Out and About: Embleton, Northumbria

This is another shot from Northumberland, taken on the second day of my trip to the coast there. The shot is of the castle ruin, Dunstanburgh, from the beach at Embleton.

Once again the weather was very windy and very cold. Most of the time on the beach was spent trying to hold the camera still enough to take a photograph in the gale force gusts that ripped across the sea onto the beach and in trying to keep the huge amounts of fine sand from getting into and damaging the equipment.

The camera was the Fujifilm X-T1 and the 18-135mm lens and I have again used the 16:9 crop ratio, which I think gives a nice panoramic style of view to these type of landscape pictures.
