Clive – intrigued by these. Like the effect and can see how you have experimented to sharpen the look. Is the general purpose of these to create a kind of gothic novel look? Or are they used for a wide variety of looks?

I’m trying to get a feel for the forthcoming ‘Gardens’ book, a bit like the late Simon Marsden‘s pictures. it is very gothic-like.

As you say, it depends to a degree on the subject and the type of shot. This is the best of the sequence in my view.
