Today I have completed the first step of part exchanging my Nikon D600 for a Nikon D800.
I have been really impressed with the D600.
It is a superb camera with great handling and ergonomics and the pictures that come from it are superb.
So, why the change?
Well, the D800 was always the camera I wanted, or rather the D700 was. I was hoping to get the latter – new and then the D800 was announced. Unfortunately it was way out of my price range and so I was contemplating a second-hand D700 when the D600 was released. This was affordable, and so I bought it.
Apart from the problem of repeated oil spots on the sensor, the camera has been fantastic to use.
Soon I hope I will have my hands on a new D800 – I can’t wait.
