We have had a few assignments in the Viewfinder Club where it may have been advantageous to use a macro lens, but I don’t have one, so I have had to make do with a zoom at it’s closes position. Well not any more! I have just purchased the Zuiko 35mm 1:3.5 macro lens.
On a 35mm camera it would be giving an equivalent range of 70mm but it is for its role as a macro photographic lens that I bought it. It can do 1:1 (life-size) magnification and as usual with Zuiko lenses it is nice and compact. As stated it can also be used as a prime standard lens for day-to-day use.
The Olympus guru, Biofos’ review of the lens can be found here.
I shall be out using the lens this week so I’ll try and get a couple of results up on here.
