On Wednesday (it is now Friday) I ordered two black and white prints from Loxley Colour. They actually arrived today and I must say the quality is superb. I ordered them via their online order entry system which was very easy to use.
They arrived at my workplace in a stout tube well packaged and the invoices arrived at my home the same day.
This image has turned out better than I could have hoped.
The details are crisp and the toning is spot on.
This image I wasn’t so pleased with, but whether this is Loxley’s fault or mine I don’t know. I suspect the latter.
The picture is excellent except for lines across the sky. You can’t see them from more than a foot away, but they are there. I’m wondering if it’s because I used a graduated fill for the sky.
Nevertheless I would recommend Loxley if you’re looking for a decent print to frame. They aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I have now ordered a frame for the top picture. Once it arrives I’ll give you the low-down.
