Today we decided to give the Warwick walk we abandoned last week another go. The intention was to walk along the Great Union Canal as far as the viaduct over the river Avon and then down to the river and follow that back past the castle and thence to the racecourse where we had parked.
Unfortunately the disruptive rains and floods of the last couple of days put an end to that plan as we reached the viaduct and looked down the steps to what should have been the river bank. As you can see below the bottom portion of the steps are submerged and the sign, of which you can only see the top sticking out of the flood water, is actually about four feet high.
We therefore turned around and retraced our steps. This was a little disappointing but it was still a good few hours out and about taking photographs. I managed to get a couple of images for the club projects I have to do and I’m please with a couple of abstracts that I also got.
I took the Fujifilm X-E2 with me with its 35mm f/2.0 lens. I’m beginning to really like this camera. I’m still trying to get used to the EVF and I do prefer the handling of my Nikon’s, but nevertheless it’s still a very nice camera to use.
Oh my goodness! Glad you got your project photos though!
