It is easy to confuse rhythm and pattern in photography, but as a rule of thumb, rhythm can be seen as the expression of movement across the frame whilst pattern is basically static and is all about its presence within the frame.
This is a wire basket for draining and air-drying plates. The bent shape of the wire gives a movement towards the right of the frame whilst the gaps in between them provide a kind of time signature.
