Taken in Lincoln Cathedral with an Olympus E-410 at ISO 400. As I walked through the cathedral I was struck by the way the light fell on the altar which due to its stone gave it a different hue to the rest of the stonework. I love the way the carpet leads you up to the altar flanked by the gorgeous flowers and how the huge vaulted roof seems to encircle downwards and encompass everything.
After I thought I had finished this image, I decided to put it though another process to pull some more of the tones out. This has given it a semi-HDR look which I like as it emphasises the curves and shapes of the carvings and windows.
