Portfolio Addition

Another image has been added to my portfolio this weekend in the “Recent Work” section. Once again it was taken at the Beamish Museum in County Durham.

I love the way light falls through windows and decorates the objects that lie within a room. There is a multitude of tones that are formed by this light and it gently coats the objects and ornaments that decorate a room. This was the case with this image, the light is softened by the voiles at the side of the window whilst the centre of the window lets the full light in and outlined the strange little statue on the table.

I kept the contrast and sharpening focussed on the interior and the outside beyond the window was left to fade and not take prominence.

Thanks for looking,
