CLICHÉ
CLICHÉ

My take on this image was to show a couple of the photographic clichés that seem to be quite common these days.
This image of the moated manor house of Baddesley Clinton in Warwickshire has been produced as an over-cooked HDR picture. I really like to see well done, subtle HDR photographs, but a lot of the time they seem to be too extreme and it almost makes the image painful to look at. This picture has been produced with that in mind. I also thought I’d put in another pet hate – over-done vignettes. A vignette can be really useful to focus the viewer on the image, but it has to be done in a subtle way. Sometimes, like on this image, they are not.
