I really like these kind of still life photographs from other photographers, so whenever I can I try to shoot them. The urn stood in an alcove cut into a high hedge at Coughton Court, and it’s weathered appearance due to a patina of age and dirt stood out against the dark of the hedge. The shrubbery at the foot of the pedestal was the final composition clincher. Taken on an Olympus E-30.
