Taken with an Olympus E-620 in Cleethorpes in January. This was part of a series taken for a Viewfinder Club assignment of the same title. The pools and rivulets left by the sea posed a problem as the sun was very low causing the whites to blow out. I like the sparse number of people out on the beach and the funfair that lays empty and unused until the warmer weather and holiday-makers arrive again. The structures on the front of the promenade are nothing but modern-built boxes with no character. All-in-all it was a windswept dismal place that seemed to be waiting for the winter to pass.
