This image was taken at Castle Howard with an Olympus E-620.
My wife Janette had just sat down on the bench with the pyramid behind her and as I turned around to join her, I saw the light coming through the clouds and the three birds illuminated by it. Janette was looking at something on the ground and the whole scene just happened. I have done a version of this image with the sloping bank at the bottom removed, but it didn’t have the same impact of isolation and strangeness.
