I’ve just heard that I have a photograph that has been shortlisted in the Fujiholics Photographer of the Year competition for the Black and White category. I’m not expecting to be placed, there are so many brilliant photographs that have been entered but I’m just really pleased to get this far.

Ah well done you! I’ve seen this shot before and think I commented how much I liked it then. It is so emotive. Sad. Brilliant. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if you were placed!

Thanks Carol. It just goes to show what I know though, that image was an after-thought trying to fill the group of five I needed to send in.
